Have a GOOD read of the “New VPS” email first.

1) Connect via the serial console (Information can be found in the VPS Control Panel) and set your ssh port to one that is assigned to you.

HowTo change SSH port

  • nano /etc/ssh/sshd_conf
  • edit port 22 to one of the ports allocated to you (again details on ports are in the email and also in the knowledge-base)
  • service ssh restart

IPv4 NAT IP Information - Ports are based on the last octet of your IP.

example: 192.168.0.3 has the following port range forwarded: 301 - 320
example: 192.168.0.13 has the following port range forwarded: 1301 - 1320
example: 10.10.10.33 has the following port range forwarded: 3301 - 3320
example: 192.168.0.133 has the following port range forwarded: 13301 - 13320
example: 10.10.10.7 has the following port range forwarded: 701 - 720
example: 192.168.0.17 has the following port range forwarded: 1701 - 1720
example: 10.10.10.221 has the following port range forwarded: 22101 - 22120


2) Install web server and place content on it
3) Check your e-mail “Your New VPS Server Details (READ IN FULL)” for the external IP

The External IP depends on your INTERNAL IPv4, read carefully.

4) Create an A record for your domain at the IP given to you in step 3
5) Login to the Client Area and open a ticket asking for HA proxy entry to be created for you

Information needed in the ticket:

  • Your internal IPv4.
  • the domain name that you would like to use.

6) Smile, you are all done :-)
